There is without a doubt a feeling of anxiety and fear as I think of the upcoming research project. I feel confident in my abilities to complete the task. The recent reading has sparked many ideas within myself; pertaining to myself and the way that I live my very life. I ask myself, "How are my everyday actions positively propelling myself in the search for living in a way that I see as truth?" I am apart of this dog-eat-dog, competitive environment. Now, am I continuing to follow what I believe is to be right, or do allow myself to become another self-centered individual. The American Dream was devised as a way for a country to regain its stand. We have taken this "Dream" completely out of context to describe a lifestyle that we individually seek. There has to be a balance with all things. We see it naturally and so we should also strive to recreate that ourselves. Keep within one's own restrictions. Not because it is mandatory, but for the simple fact that it is for the betterment of mankind. There is a true way for everything.

Blind Spot
Through the course of my life I have always tended to be a quiet, soft-spoken person. I have always felt as though I am very aware of my environment and of people feelings around me. I am very cautious of staying away from confrontation. It has always been my weakness. It has been hard for my to develop the skills to deal with confrontation. Many times I find myself suffering because I am afraid that someone I know will suffer instead. I keep my opinions hidden if I feel that they will offend someone or cause strife between others. This would in many cases lead to lying to cover up my true feelings. And from there I would begin believe these things that I would say and accepting them as truths about myself. Lately, I have been working towards being firm in my beliefs and saying what I mean and meaning what I say.

My American Dream
It is important to be able to develop some sense of purpose in an individuals life; something that gives an individual a tangible goal, that which he may fix his eyes on. I have many goals and aspirations that I hope to one day achieve. Many are life-long, others, perhaps for the semester. I would like to think of my American Dream as an ongoing definition of my accomplishments. I know that every decision I make sends me down a new and exciting path to which there really is no end, no finish. Rather, there is the contentedness in knowing that I have the entirety of my time to enrich my life by gather knowledge from others and personal experiences. I know that where ever I am in my life I will have the opportunity to make the best out of it; from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. As long as I keep filling my mind with things that are positive then naturally that is what will come forth from me. There is no cap to my dream and it is solely up to me to fulfill it.

My name is Mitchell, not the last name. I am a positive person that would want nothing more than a small portion of land to call my own. The best place to be is in the mountains. Theres nothing better than waking up and smelling the aroma of the forest. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, next best time: now. I love to be in unknown places. Whether that's a new city, new job, new school, practically any new situation. And the best part about it is that every second is a new moment. The best way to get around is via motorcycle; it's a whole new world. I think its important to stay active. I try to make sure that on a daily basis I excercise myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. I love harmony. It's so exciting when you are able to see it present between exsisting things. Guitar, disc golf and pool are my leisure times. I find new people to be refreshing and I wish I could do a better job at looking for positive qualities in people.
